The Mid-Prairie wrestling team had three wrestlers compete at the state tournament yesterday.
Duncan McCain (46-3) at 113 pounds won his first and only match of the day on a decision Carter Cox of Atlantic, 6-5. McCain will face off today against Brennen Doebel (45-1) of Clear Lake.
Cameron Tolander at 182 pounds lost on a major decision 10-0 to Joe Teague of Algona. Tolander lost in the wrestle back bracket as well, losing in a tiebreaker 13-8.
Levi Duwa at 195 pounds lost in his first match to Izaak Shedenhelm Denver/Tripoil in a fall. Duwa did win in his wrestle back match, winning with a fall over Christian Lauritsen of Clarinda. Duwa’s match for today will be versus the loser from the match between Brad Skubul of Washington and Andrew Hill of Carlisle.
