Across Iowa 11 percent of the soybean crop is coloring, while southeast Iowa is a bit ahead with 15 percent. Most of the soybeans in the state are setting pods, with 93 percent doing so. Soybeans are two days ahead of 2014, but two days behind the five-year average. According to the Iowa Crop Progress and Condition report, a few reporters had soybeans dropping leaves this week. Of the soybean crop across the Hawkeye state, 21 percent are in excellent condition, 55 percent are good and 15 percent are fair.
