In Washington County, during last year’s three-day Labor Day weekend, three people were arrested for operating while intoxicated and three more were charged with public intoxication. Iowans are reminded this Labor Day weekend law enforcement agencies will be stepping up enforcement. In 2013, four people were killed in Iowa during the holiday weekend.
