The Iowa Democratic Party is looking to make its first in the nation caucus more accessible. The party announced the first ever tele-caucus for the February 1st caucus. Democrats hope to make voting more accessible to military members serving out-of-state and Iowans living abroad. Keokuk County Democratic Chair Mary Krier tells KCII News, the best part about the tele-caucus is it makes the event even more inclusive for everyone.

With the tele-caucus participants will be able to align with a candidate, or to an uncommitted group, by pressing a number on their phone. At the end of the tele-caucus, two state delegates will be awarded. Deadline to register is January 6th. To register for the Tele-Caucus visit iowademocrats.org/telecaucus.
