A 28E agreement between Washington and Louisa counties to share mental health and disability services staff was approved at this week’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. Supervisor Stan Stoops explained Washington County will save approximately $36,500 in the arrangement. Washington County will pay 66% of the director’s salary and Louisa County will pay the remaining. Bobbie Wulf is the current Washington County director, and under the agreement her wage will increase from $27.69 per hour to $37.57 per hour as she oversees both counties. The Louisa County director is retiring and with the move to regions for mental health services this agreement was recommended. Also, the current assistant in Louisa County will be shared among the two counties. The agreement passed with a 4 – 1 vote, with Abe Miller in opposition.
