Rain, fog and some sleet were seen throughout the day Tuesday in Washington. The city received just over three-tenths of an inch of rain Tuesday. Also, wind speeds reached 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 37 miles per hour at the Washington Municipal Airport around 10 a.m. Other parts of Iowa received snow with an inch in Cedar Rapids, eight inches west of Des Moines, and over a foot in Fort Dodge.
