There is just one week left to purchase daffodils to help fight cancer and polio. The annual Daffodil Days campaign is underway and this year it is a combined effort of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Rotary Clubs in Washington County. The goal is to raise $5,000 by selling bunches of daffodils at $10 a piece.

Washington Rotarian Kierstan Peck says the tradition of sending daffodils is a nice way to mark the start of spring and are often given to people fighting cancer or those who have lost a loved one to cancer. Orders for the flowers can be placed with any local Rotarian or Relay for Life volunteer before February 29th and the daffodils arrive in March.
