The Future Farmers of America group at Mid-Prairie High School celebrated FFA Week this week. The 70 member group hosted a variety of activities to celebrate. On Monday the students hosted a faculty breakfast as a way of saying thank you to teachers at the school. The group also held a school wide assembly to talk about agriculture, and play games. Faculty Adviser Elsa Schmidt says the week is a great way to showcase what FFA is all about. She notes only half of students in FFA live on a farm, so the group is really something everyone can enjoy. For more from Schmidt listen to Monday’s In Touch with Southeast Iowa.
