Students from around the area traveled to Fairfield High School Saturday for the Individual District Speech Contest. Students from Washington High School found success with five of seven events earning Division 1 ratings and advancing to the State Contest. Five of six events for Keota High School earned Division 1 ratings. Highland High School students earned seven Division 1’s and Mid-Prairie had the most Division 1 earners in the area with 13 out of 15. Those who earned Division 1 ratings will advance to the State Individual Speech Contest at North Scott High School on March 12th.
