A band featured in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is performing a show in Washington Thursday. The band called Mipso will hold a show at the Washington Community Center, and member Wood Robinson shares they are a string band that is influenced by blue grass and old time music. The four-member band plays fiddle, mandolin, double bass and guitar. The members met at the University of North Carolina and have now been together for over five years.

He shares one of his favorite memories of being on tour came from their time in Japan, when their host graciously said, “If you need anything, just holler.” Mipso played about 180 shows in about 220 days last year.
