The Sigourney Savage boys basketball team had three members receive accolades from the South Iowa Cedar League this week.
Senior Blaine Gretter was a first team all SICL selection. Gretter led the South Iowa Cedar League east division in scoring, averaging 19 points per contest. He was also ninth in the SICL with his 46 assists, third in the league with 23 blocks, and second in the conference with 206 rebounds.
Senior Jordan Albert was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Albert was seventh in the conference in scoring at 12 points per game. Albert pulled in 103 rebounds and had 30 assists on the season.
Senior Payton Crawford was also an honorable mention all-conference selection. Crawford scored nine points per game for the Savages. His 105 assists were second best in the conference and Crawford’s 54 steals are also second best in the league.
The Savages ended the season with an overall record of 11-12. Sigourney was eliminated from the playoffs in the second round of districts, falling to Keota 61-53.
