Poetry will be on display this month in the Helen Wilson Gallery at the Washington Public Library. Debbie Stanton, director of the library, explains the exhibit will feature poems that are printed to create shapes called Carmina Figurata and they are made by retired professor Dr. Jan Hodge of Morningside College. Today, Hodge will be the guest speaker at the monthly Washington Writer’s Workshop hosted at the library, which is free and open to the public. Tomorrow he’ll have a poetry reading at the library at 1 p.m.
