Monday is the deadline for 4-H high school students to register for an upcoming field trip to Iowa State University. The Washington County Extension Office is hosting the “Gettin’ Piggy With It!” animal science swine workshop at Iowa State University on Monday, March 28. Amy Green is the 4-H and Youth Coordinator for Washington County and says this trip is for eighth through 12th grade students. She adds it’s centered around the university’s swine project area.

Students will need to provide a $10 fee with their registration information to the Washington County Extension office by the end of the day Monday. This will cover transportation and lunch costs.
