Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year will be announced at the annual dinner hosted by the Washington Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Washington and Washington Economic Development Group later this month. Currently, the Chamber is asking chamber members to submit their nominations for the two awards. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual who displays leadership and creativity for the overall betterment of the community and the business award goes to a local business that displays leadership and cooperation and is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce while supporting the growth and improvement of the community.
The 2013 Citizen of the Year was Max Cousins and the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort was named Business of the Year.
Nominations must be submitted by March 8th to Michelle Redlinger, director of the Washington Chamber of Commerce. The annual dinner will be held March 21st at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.
