Washington’s Planning and Zoning Committee will meet to discuss the expansion of the United Presbyterian Home. In September, the UP Home announced it’s plans to expand. The addition on the south hall of the current Health Center will include 17 private rooms, a 16-bed dementia specific area and the conversion of existing semi-private rooms to private. Also, there will be more room for the wellness and fitness area and a therapy pool will be added. Last week, a cottage was moved from the UP Home campus to make room for the expansion.
The Planning and Zoning Committee will discuss the project’s site plan. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington Public Library.
