Nomination papers for county positions to be on the ballot in the June primary are now being accepted. There are five positions up for election in Washington County this year including Washington County Sheriff, Washington County Auditor and three seats on the Washington County Board of Supervisors. The three seats on the board of supervisors to be voted on are currently held by Jack Seward, Jr., Bob Yoder and Stan Stoops. Washington County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar has announced he will not seek reelection and plans to retire at the end of the year.

To be on the ballot for the June 7th primary, nomination papers and an affidavit of candidacy should be turned into the Washington County Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m. March 30th. For a link to the nomination papers and more information click here.
