Rain fell across southeast Iowa Monday into Tuesday morning. Washington received half an inch of rain from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 a.m. this morning. Windy conditions also swept across the area yesterday, with wind gusts reaching 32 miles per hour at the Washington Municipal Airport just before noon. Monday the temperature rose to 73 degrees, the record high for March 7th is 77 degrees.
