Three people have officially filed papers for their candidacy in the June primary in Washington County. Dan Widmer, Washington County Auditor, tells KCII News that Republican Stan Stoops who serves as a supervisor for District 4 and Republican Bob Yoder who serves as a county supervisor for District 2 have filed to run for re-election.

Also, Washington County Sheriff’s Sergeant Kirk Bailey has filed to run for the sheriff seat that is being vacated by Jerry Dunbar’s retirement at the end of the year.

Those wishing to be on the ballot in June’s primary have until March 30th to submit papers to the auditor’s office.
