A budget adjustment resolution, personnel modifications, and negative spending authority mitigation scenarios are on the agenda for the Highland School Board. The board has held multiple community work sessions to consider ideas as to how to cut their budget to fight the lack of funding due in part to declining enrollment. Suggestions from the public have included sharing teachers and staff with other districts, investing in solar and wind energy, and implementing more efficient bus routes.
Also graduation requirements and next year’s school calendar will be considered. The board will meet Monday in the High School Board Room at 6 p.m.
