Students at Mid-Prairie Middle School are participating in this year’s Live Healthy Iowa Kid’s Wellness Challenge. The program is 10 weeks long and focuses on increasing physical activity while encouraging healthier food and beverage choices. Tasks for participants include tracking their activity minutes, fruit, vegetable, water and milk consumption, and taking part in an “exercise of the week”. Every two weeks during the program students will be tracking a new topic.

In their current tracking period, March 7th to the 18th, participating students are tracking their water consumption. At the end of each segment, the information gathered is submitted to the Live Healthy Iowa website for prizes. The program ends April 1st.
