Tax time is approaching rapidly, and Bob Preston with H & R Block in Washington and Sigourney says it’s important to get an appointment with your tax preparer before the upcoming deadline.  He says that even if you don’t have all of your documents ready, to make the appointment and get your extension filed as soon as possible. He says many people also don’t realize the importance of itemizing deductions. While itemizing doesn’t help everyone on their federal return, it often makes a difference on state returns. The tax deadline this year is April 18.
