The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls track teams were in action Tuesday in Wellman at the Mid-Prairie Hawk Co-Ed Relays.

The IMS girls finished in fifth place out of six teams with their 76 points. Iowa Mennonite had two championships on the night Emma Beachy won the girls discus with her throw of 91’7″. The IMS sprint medley team of Taylor Guyer, Grace Belin, Mackenzie Gutierrez and Calli Shaw were winners with a time of 2:07.79. Rubye Ney was runner up in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.35. Suzanna Yoder finished as runner up in the 200m with a time of 28.82 seconds. Alyssa Gonzales was third in the 3000m run with a time of 13:57.21. Suzanna Yoder was third in the 100 with a time of 13.63 seconds. The distance medley team of Taylor Guyer, Grace Belin, Calli Shaw and Alyssa Gonzales placed third with a time of 5:08.09.

On the boys side Iowa Mennonite finished the meet with two points, in 15th place. IMS got their points from Drake Brezina who finished fifth in the 200 with his time of 24.77.

The IMS track teams will be back in action on April 28th when they travel to WACO.
