The Iowa Mennonite School girls track team took part in the Southeast Iowa Superconference track meet Thursday night in Wapello.

IMS finished seventh in the 10 team field with their score of 47 points. Pekin won the event with 180 points. Top finishes for Iowa Mennonite came from Suzanna Yoder who placed fourth in the 100m dash with a time of 13.62 seconds, fifth in the long jump, clearing 15’2″ and sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:15.52. Rubye Ney was fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:11.90 and fifth in the 100 hurdles in 17.43 seconds. Calli Shaw was third in the 3000 with a time of 13:31.11. Emma Beachy was third in the discus with a throw of 89’6″ and Avery Blauvelt was fifth in the 3000 with a time of 14:02.81.

The IMS girls track team will next be in action Thursday when they travel to WACO for their state qualifying meet.
