The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team wrapped up the regular season Thursday night hosting the Van Buren Warriors.
Van Buren came away with a 7-0 win. The Warriors jumped up early with a pair of runs in the second and scored single runs in each of the third, fifth and sixth innings to extend the lead before putting two more on the board in the seventh. The IMS offense had a tough time getting much going against the Warriors pitching staff, collecting one hit on the night, coming from Tobyn Bender. Drake Brezina took the loss on the mound for IMS he went four and a third innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, walking one and striking out seven. With the loss IMS falls to 6-13 on the year and will next be in action Tuesday at HLV when they take on Iowa Valley in the first round of the class 1A playoffs.
