The Mid-Prairie School Board is no longer down a member, because at their most recent meeting they selected Gabrielle Frederick to take the place of Chuck Freeman. Superintendent Mark Schneider said there were several interested candidates, so they gave them a short survey to fill out and Frederick was the only one that returned it. Schneider said Frederick had been regularly attending meetings for the past three months, and had shown a lot of interest in what goes on at school board meetings.

Frederick has children attending school at Washington Township Elementary and has been active in the Parent Teacher Organization. Schneider says she’s shown a lot of concern and passion for the well-being of the district, and he says that’s the best qualification someone could have.
