A motorcycle chase with speeds over 100 miles per hour ended with a crash near Riverside. According to the Washington County Communications department, at 11:39 p.m. Thursday a deputy from Johnson County reported the chase with high speeds and the motorcycle wrecked on the curve of Highway 22 west of the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. One person was transported from the crash by Johnson County Ambulance.

Colin McGriff of Muscatine was the operator of the motorcycle and there were no local charges. The vehicle was towed.

McGriff had been charged with operating while under the influence – first offense in February.
