As Washington anticipates RAGBRAI coming to town on July 29th, Washington County Conservation is preparing as well. Conservation Director Steve Anderson says while it’s not on the official route, they’ve been readying the Kewash Nature Trail for the likely event that several riders will use it. They’re also preparing for some overflow camping to come into Marr Park. Though it’s not on the official route, nor is it an official site, Anderson anticipates riders will come to the park. In the event the campgrounds overflow, they’ve set up a few additional non-electric sites where riders will be able to rest. Anderson added while RAGBRAI is a huge undertaking and a lot of people might be nervous about it, he’s hopeful and confident that everything will go well.
