A pair of Mid-Prairie football players are putting their names amongst the best of all-time with their performance on the field.
Mid-Prairie senior Levi Duwa currently ranks third in Mid-Prairie history with eight touchdown receptions. He is tied with Sean Thornton from 2003, Josh Kral from 2002, Brent Showalter from 1999 and Dean Anderson from 1980. Number one all-time in the category are Colin Brenneman from 2008 and Darian Patterson from 2006 with 16.
Fellow senior Ricky Vargas has 1,372 rushing yards in his career, putting him just 130 yards behind Dave Showalter from 1977 who is tenth all time. The top ground gainer in Mid-Prairie history is Tanner Miller from 2009 with 4,003 yards. Vargas also has 15 career rushing touchdowns. Josh Boone from 2008 is tenth all-time with 20. Tanner Miller has the most rushing touchdowns in school history with 59.
