The Sigourney-Keota Savage Cobras are back under the lights tonight when they host Eddyville-Blakesburg.
S-K is coming off of a big 42-20 week one win over rival Pekin. The Cobras were led in the game by KCII Hedge Above Lawncare Athlete of the Week Avery Moore who finished with 221 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. Defensively he had five tackles and an interception.
The Rockets opened the year with a 33-6 loss to the Pleasantville Trojans. The Rockets were held to 161 total yards in the loss and turned the ball over twice. Trey Moore led Eddvyille in game one with 15 carries for 117 yards on the ground and the lone Rocket touchdown.
S-K beat up on the Rockets a year ago, winning 48-6 in Eddyville. Savage Cobra graduate Peyton Crawford ran wild, racking up 265 yards and five touchdowns on just 14 carries in the win. Action kicks off tonight at 7:30 at Sigourney High School.
