The Iowa Mennonite School has a sisterhood with five Mennonite colleges around the country, and every year those universities come to the school for a Mennonite College Night. This year’s event will be held on Monday, September 13th, and will once again welcome Bethel College and Hesston College of Kansas, Bluffton University of Ohio, Eastern Mennonite University of Virginia, and Goshen College of Indiana. Guidance counselor Dwight Gingerich believes it’s a great opportunity for students and their families to meet one-on-one with one or more colleges they’re interested in attending.

Gingerich added, the event isn’t restricted to just IMS students, and any local student with an interest in the colleges is welcome to make an appointment to meet with the representatives. He advises to check if they have any visits scheduled for their own school first, but emphasized the colleges are always willing to meet with any student. Priority for the meetings will be given to seniors, and the 20 minute appointments run from 4-8:30 p.m. Anyone interested can contact Gingerich at Dgingerich@iowamennonite.org.
