A doll stuffed with drugs, conmen, back-stabbing, and a blind woman are all part of the plot of the play the Washington Community Theater is presenting this weekend titled Wait Until Dark. The show follows Suzy Hendrix, a blind woman who tries to outsmart criminals who believe the doll was mistakenly placed in her apartment.

Regan Loula, who plays Hendrix, says it gives a spooky vibe in the last couple of weeks before Halloween making it the “perfect time” to do this show. In the 1967 film Audrey Hepburn portrayed the blind woman. The cast includes eight local actors. The play is on the stage Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance online and over the phone from the Washington Community Center.
