Among the squads who took part in the Iowa Mennonite School Jamboree at Hillcrest Union Monday evening was the Washington Demon boys’ basketball team. The jamboree included multiple exhibition contests featuring two eight-minutes periods. Washington was paired up against the Keota Eagles.

The Eagles led 19-14 after the first period and outlasted the Demons, 41-35. Keota’s Jacob Wickenkamp scored a game-high 15 points, while Hunter Wilson added 11 points. Bryce Sinn topped Washington’s scoring with 10 points.

Keota will open their regular season schedule on Monday at Lone Tree. Washington begins their season on December 6 at Muscatine.
