Another league road trip will take the Washington Demon bowling teams to the tri-state border today. Arrowhead Lanes is the venue of the Southeast Conference meet between the Demons and the Keokuk Chiefs.

Washington traveled to Mount Pleasant last weekend for a triangular versus the Panthers and the West Central Heat of Biggsville, Illinois. The Demon boys squad came away with a second-place finish with 2,591 points. Mount Pleasant won the meet with a score of 2,749, while West Central placed third with 2,256 pins. Washington’s Colin Zear posted a personal two-game record of 460 in the individual round. The Demon girls’ squad finished in third place with a score of 1,519. Mount Pleasant won the event with 2,046 pins, while West Central recorded a score of 1,940. Bailey Brown topped Washington with a two-game score of 227.

Keokuk opened their season last week with a pair of league victories against Fairfield. The boys’ meet saw the Chiefs top the Trojans, 2,766-2,502. Jake Cook recorded Keokuk’s highest two-game score of 446. Keokuk bested Fairfield in the girls’ meet, 2,591-2,174. Alyssa Hemann sunk a team-best 384 pins.

First pins are set to drop at noon at Arrowhead Lanes.
