On Thursday the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team traveled to Tipton for a Quadrangular meet with the Tigers, Midland and Northeast Goose Lake.

The Hawks opened by taking on Northeast. Mid-Prairie won the dual 48-22. The Golden Hawks got wins in contested matches from Tim Grepl at 126 by fall, Duncan McCain at 132 by fall, David Murray at 138 by fall, Cody Allen at 182 by 5-2 decision, Visouth Peterschmidt at 220 by fall and Jason Tew at 285 by 3-2 decision. The win by Duncan McCain gave him 148 for his career, tying the all-time school record for wins.

In their second dual of the night Mid-Prairie downed Tipton 60-24. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Duncan McCain at 132 by fall, allowing him to break the school record with career win number 149, David Murray by fall at 138, Miles Burrows by fall at 145, Brent Foster by fall at 152, Isaac Boucher by fall at 160, Cory Allen by fall at 182, and Visouth Peterschmidt by fall at 195.

In the final dual of the night Mid-Prairie beat Midland 48-27. Miles Burrows got Mid-Prairie’s lone win in a contested match by fall at 145. With the three dual sweep the Golden Hawks overall record is now 8-4 on the year.
