The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Wapello Friday night for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader with the Arrows and Indians.
The Wapello girls beat IMS by a 57-36 score. Wapello started the game hot, leading 21-8 after the first quarter. The Arrows were up 32-18 at the half. In the third quarter Wapello put the game out of reach with a 15-4 run that lasted the entire frame. IMS is now 0-11 on the year.
In the boys contest Iowa Mennonite completed a season sweep of the Indians with a 54-36 win. IMS led 18-11 after one quarter and held a 30-19 lead at halftime. IMS held serve in the second half outscoring the Indians 24-17 to seal the win. Reggie Borntrager led IMS with 11 points, Cole Ours and Mitchell Schmeider each added 10. With the win, IMS is now 8-4 on the year.
The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls are both back on the floor tonight when they host the Highland Huskies at Dwight Gingerich Court at Hillcrest Union. Action begins at 6PM.
