The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team travels to Camanche tonight for their final River Valley Conference event of the year, a triangular with the Indians and the West Liberty Comets.
The meet features the top three teams in the RVC. Mid-Prairie enters tonight, in third place in the conference at 9-4 overall and 7-2 in the league. The Golden Hawks have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup. According to thepredicament.com and iawrestle.com, Duncan McCain is No. 9 in class 2A at 132lbs and Visouth Peterschmidt is No. 4 at 195lbs.
West Liberty comes into tonight with a 15-2 overall record, the Comets are 9-0 in the River Valley Conference and currently ranked No. 5 in class 2A as a team. The Comets have three ranked wrestlers in their lineup. Will Esmoil is No. 6 at 106lbs, Joe Kelly is No. 1 at 152lbs and Bryce Esmoil is No. 1 at 195lbs.
The Camanche Indians are the defending RVC dual champions. They enter tonight with an overall record of 9-1, they are 8-0 in conference action. The Indians have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup. At 138lbs Nate Thoms is No. 8 in class 2A, at 145lbs Baylor Crigger is ranked eighth.
