A senior on the Keota Eagles boys’ basketball team (15-3) filled up the stat sheet in a victory over a conference rival Friday night. Keota made the short drive to Sigourney High School for a South Iowa Cedar League matchup versus the Savages (5-14). The Eagles scored 30 points in the first eight minutes in a 91-40 victory over the Savages.

Jacob Wickenkamp tallied a triple-double in the victory as he scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and facilitated on 11 baskets. Wickenkamp was six points shy of a triple-double in last Tuesday’s 65-48 victory over Iowa Valley, grabbing 16 rebounds and assisting on 12 made shots. Avery Conrad added 14 points and seven rebounds in the win versus Sigourney.

The victory pushes Keota’s record to 15-3 overall. The Eagles will host the English Valleys Bears tomorrow in the final conference home game of the season. The varsity girls’ game is set to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys’ to follow.
