The Washington Police Department has a new officer in its ranks. Friday morning Mayor Sandra Johnson swore in Jason Chalupa. The event was witnessed by Police Chief Greg Goodman, City Clerk Illa Earnest, and Chalupa’s wife, Jillian, and daughter. Chalupa is from Washington, and has worked previously in Centerville and most recently Fairfield. The Washington Police Department now has 11 full time officers and three part time.
