A British comedy farce will be performed by the Washington Community Theater in April. Auditions for The Bald Soprano will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Washington Community Center. The play is about “a typical English couple in their common English home in an ordinary London neighborhood” and a late dinner party where the fire chief shows up. The comedy is described as being similar to Monty Python.
The play is one of four presented by the Washington Community Theater in 2017 and features a cast of six characters. The Bald Soprano is John Shang’s (of Iowa City) directorial debut in Washington. Scripts are available to check out at the Washington Public Library until Monday. Performances will be April 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.
