The first St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl held by the Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation is going on in Washington tonight. Ann Williams with the Foundation says they organized the event in an effort to reach out to another generation and teach them about what the group does to enhance Washington. The pub crawl has five stops and a shuttle for safe transportation. Williams explains the Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation is focused on physical improvements in the community, from helping teachers paint classrooms to assisting with the performing arts center.

Each participant in the pub crawl will get five tickets, and each establishment will have an alcoholic or non-alcoholic signature drink for the event from 5-9 p.m. To register contact Simply Spa or Williams at her Farm Bureau Office. It is $30 per person, or $50 per couple.
