The Washington County Extension Office is holding its Pancakes and More Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, April 15. Amy Green, 4H/Youth Coordinator, tells KCII radio the money raised helps keep 4H enrollment fees low. Washington County 4H is now approaching 400 kids, and the enrollment fees help pay for programs so financial need isn’t an issue keeping kids from participating. The fundraiser will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and a drink. Free will donations will be accepted.
The breakfast will be held in conjunction with an Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association Open Cattle Show sponsored by Washington County 4-H County Council. The Cattle Show will run from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
