The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team has been busy over the last week, taking part in three events.

On May 3rd the Hawks hosted a quadrangular at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside with West Branch, West Liberty and Wilton. Mid-Prairie was third of four teams with a score of 216. West Liberty and Wilton took top honors with a 205. Paige Slabaugh shot 49 to lead the way for Mid-Prairie. Other scores for the Golden Hawk girls included Olivia Nisly 51, Abbi Patterson 57, Lindsey Palmer 59, Emma Mattes 60 and Kenzie Bontrager 68.

Thursday, May 4th the Golden Hawks hosted West Liberty and Iowa Mennonite School in a triangular. The Comets nipped the Golden Hawks by a 205-207 count. Paige Slabaugh was medalist with her career best round of 41. Other scores for the Golden Hawks included Lindsey Palmer with a 53, Olivia Nisley at 56, Abbi Patterson at 57, Emma Mattes 60 and Kenzie Bontrager 65.

Monday, May 8th wrapped up the River Valley Conference dual season for Mid-Prairie. The Golden Hawks beat Durant at Kalona 214-232. Paige Slabaugh was meet medalist with a 48. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Lindsey Palmer 52, Olivia Nisly and Abbi Patterson 57, Emma Mattes 58 and Kenzie Bontrager 62. The Golden Hawks will next be in action at Wednesday’s River Valley Conference Championship meet at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course.
