The Iowa Mennonite boys soccer team topped No. 12 Williamsburg Monday night in Kalona by a 2-1 score.

Williamsburg got on the board first, scoring on a breakaway in the 12th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. Iowa Mennonite found the equalizer in the 39th minute, as Seth Danga sent a ball to Isaiah Swantz who drove it through the Raider defense and put it to the back of the net, tying the game going into the half. In the second half the two defenses limited chances until the 61st minute when IMS scored on a set piece. Danga put the corner kick into the 18 where Reggie Borntrager headed the ball home for the winner.

Blake Bontrager finishes with six saves in goal securing the win. IMS honored six seniors including Juan Andino, Jared Schlabaugh, Anthony Villatoro, Cole Yoder, Nick Yutzy and Steven Jimenez. With the win, IMS is now 8-3 on the season and will be in action Friday in the first round of the Southeast Iowa Superconference Tournament against Mediapolis at IMS.
