The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team hits the road tonight for Albia and a doubleheader with the Blue Demons.

Mid-Prairie is 13-10 entering tonight’s games. Last time they were on the diamond they swept West Branch in a doubleheader by matching 3-2 scores. On the year Mid-Prairie is led by Karson Gingerich and his .342 average. On the hill, freshman Brad Tornow is 5-1 on the year with a 1.19 ERA in 35 innings of work.

Albia enters the fray with an overall record of 8-18. In their last action they split a doubleheader with the Chariton Chargers, dropping game one 7-4 and winning game two 2-1. On the season the Blue Demons are led by Trent Garver with his .353 average. On the mound it’s senior Cobi Thomas with a 4-3 record, 42 innings pitched and 3.33 ERA.
