Highway 1, Wayland Road, Highway 22, Highway 92 and many other area roads are on the map for the KCII Big Red Radio as it takes off for the KCII Summer Town Tour part two.
Each summer the Big Red Radio visits area festivities from the 4th of July in Wellman and Wayland, to Chief Wapello Days and the Lone Tree Fall Fest. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols explains why KCII takes part in so many celebrations, “It’s absolutely a busy summer, I mean, it’s great though because you get to see what all of these towns are doing and how the communities all come together and businesses. And people just come together to put on an event for their town and for their communities, and it’s just a lot of fun to be a part of that, and be there broadcasting live, playing music, and telling people what’s going on.” The Big Red Radio has already taken part in Kidzfest, the Washington Summer Classic, Keota Fun Days, Kalona Day, Brighton Whoopee Days, and Trekfest.
