Over $2,000 was raised through an annual art auction in downtown Washington Saturday.

The LET’s Center for the Healing and Creative Arts partnered with PAWS and More animal shelter this year for their Totally Tubular Transformation event. Each year area residents are asked to show their creativity and transform water softener tubes into pieces of art. This year’s theme was animals. There were whales, penguins, flamingos, horses and much more featured. At the auction in Central Park approximately $2,200 was raised with 32 tubes sold. The highest bid was $185 for a dragon painted by Cassie Rork. For photos of the artwork visit KCII Radio’s Facebook page.
