Friday and Saturday is Iowa’s annual sales tax holiday.

Select clothing and footwear will not have sales tax charged on items under $100. All retailers in the state open Friday and Saturday are required to participate. Items not included are watches, jewelry and sporting equipment. Sunday is not part of the tax free event. The event is held the first weekend in August each year. For more information click here.
