The Mid-Prairie School District hosted their annual fall sports kickoff and Meet the Players night Friday at Mid-Prairie High School.

The night started at 4:30 with an inter-squad scrimmage for the Mid-Prairie volleyball team in Tim Grady Gymnasium. During the course of the night the Mid-Prairie Cross Country team and cheerleaders were announced and the Golden Hawk junior varsity and varsity football team’s scrimmaged Iowa City Regina. The scrimmage included seven on seven drills and some live scrimmage action with alternating possession.

The Golden Hawks open the 2017 season next Friday when they travel to Louisa-Muscatine.
