The Iowa Mennonite School and Highland volleyball teams face off tonight at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
IMS enters play ranked No. 10 in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union with an overall record of 7-3. IMS is looking to get back on track after dropping three of four matches at the Wilton tournament over the weekend. On the season they are led by Suzanna Yoder with 67 kills, fourth most in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. She also leads the IMS defense and is second in the conference with 112 digs. Sami Miller has the team lead and is seventh in the conference with 76 assists.
Highland enters play 4-5 overall. The Huskies last time on the floor they swept English Valleys on Thursday. On the season Highland is led by Brylee Carolan with 42 kills, Murphy Beinhart has the team lead with 65 assists, 10th most in the Superconference, The Highland defense is led by Sydney Black with 58 digs.
These two teams met once last year with Highland winning in a sweep. Action begins tonight at 6:30 at Hillcrest Union on the campus of IMS.
