This September has been one of the coolest on record for Washington.
According to the National Weather Service, 2017 has had the coolest minimum temperatures to kick off September. The average minimum temperature has been 45.9 degrees, while 55.2 degrees is normal. The thermometer dipped down to 40 degrees last Thursday, setting the record low for September 7th. The next day also had a new record low set at 41 degrees on September 8th.
Temperatures are expected to warm up as the week goes on with highs in the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
